A discussion titled “Women, War, and the Fight for Justice in the Republic of Kosovo” was held at the Kosovo Consulate in New York, organized by the Ulqini Association in cooperation with the consulate.

The event was opened by Blerim Reka, who called for international justice for Vasfije Krasniqi Goodman and for approximately 20,000 Kosovar Albanian women who were victims of sexual violence during the Kosovo War. He emphasized the importance of truth and accountability.

The discussion highlighted the crimes and genocide committed by Serbia in Kosovo, with a special focus on wartime sexual violence, while recognizing the strength, resilience, and voice of Kosovar women.

Speakers included Vasfije Krasniqi Goodman, who shared her powerful testimony as a survivor and presidential special envoy, and Vera Mjeku, who reflected on the importance of justice and institutional engagement.
