Time Kadrijaj, head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) parliamentary group, has dismissed suggestions of division within her party, asserting that AAK remains unified in its positions.

Speaking during the “DPT Fidani” show on Klan Kosova, Kadrijaj addressed remarks made by fellow AAK MP Bekë Berisha, who recently stated that he would vote for any candidate proposed by the Vetëvendosje (LVV) party for Speaker of the Assembly.

“We are absolutely united. Bekë was simply frustrated by what has been happening in these 44 sessions, where Kurti has failed to secure votes for Albulena Haxhiu. She has now become the ‘ceiling’ of Kosovo. Albulena Haxhiu is now bigger than Kosovo,” said Kadrijaj.

She explained that Berisha’s remarks were an emotional response to the political deadlock: “Out of frustration, he said, ‘Let’s go ahead and vote for them, let the people see how far Albin Kurti’s ego will go.’ Sometimes in such situations, like when I proposed Albin Kurti for chair of the Secret Ballot Commission, we take stances that later require reconsideration. I apologized to the opposition for that proposal.”

Kadrijaj emphasized that Berisha’s comments were made in the same tone of irony and frustration, not as a shift in party policy.
