European foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has stated that putting pressure on Ukraine “is not the right approach” to ending the ongoing war in the country.

Speaking after meetings with EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg, Kalas warned that such pressure could encourage repeated acts of aggression.

“Pressuring Ukraine, which is the victim, is not the right approach — not just for Ukraine, but for European and global security. If aggression succeeds, it will provide an incentive for it to be repeated elsewhere,” Kallas said.

Her comments highlight the EU’s continued support for Ukraine while cautioning against policies that could inadvertently embolden aggressors in other regions.
