European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has called for “transatlantic unity” as a key strategy to help end the war in Ukraine.

Speaking during virtual meetings with European foreign ministers today, Kallas stressed that the EU will work on increasing sanctions against Russia, boosting military support for Ukraine, and accelerating Ukraine’s EU membership process.

Transatlantic unity, support for Ukraine, and pressure on Russia are how we will end this war and prevent future Russian aggression in Europe,” Kallas wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Her remarks come as European leaders intensify diplomatic efforts to maintain strong ties between the EU and the United States while pushing for a united front against Moscow’s actions in Ukraine.
