Kaja Kallas, the EU’s top diplomat, has described the entry of Russian drones into European airspace as deliberate, not accidental.

According to her, Russia’s war continues to escalate.

“We must increase the cost for Moscow, strengthen support for Ukraine, and invest in Europe’s defense. The EU plays a major role and we will support initiatives such as the defensive line on the eastern border,” Kallas wrote.

She described the Russian attack, in which drones entered Polish airspace, as “the most serious violation of European airspace by Russia since the beginning of the war.”

Kallas also added that she is in contact with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski.

“The EU stands in full solidarity with Poland,” she stated.
