The European Union’s foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, congratulated Donald Trump, who was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States.
“The transatlantic bond has brought prosperity and strength to both sides of the Atlantic. Together, we are stronger and safer in addressing global challenges. We look forward to continuing our partnership,” Kallas wrote on the platform X.
Trump was sworn in today as the 47th president of the United States of America.
He took the oath, pledging to “preserve and protect” the U.S. Constitution.
“I solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will do the best of my ability to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States,” Trump said.
