Serbian human rights activist Nataša Kandić has said that Serbia was the main reason behind the wars that took place in the region.
She said that the Serbian plan for Kosovo was aimed at reducing the Albanian population to 5 percent by expelling 800,000 Kosovars.
“There is no war without Serbia. The Serbian plan for Kosovo was aimed at reducing the Albanian population to 5% — with 800,000 people expelled. In just 78 days, from March 24 to June 12, 1999, Serbian police and military forces killed around 7,000 Albanian civilians who were not participating in the armed conflict. Around 100,000 Serbs remained in Kosovo,” she wrote.
