KEDS announced that all necessary preparations for the year-end festivities have been made, ensuring that the celebration will be lit with electricity. The company stated that it has engaged around 1,000 workers and hundreds of machines to ensure uninterrupted service during the holidays.
“For the year-end holidays, KEDS has engaged approximately 1,000 workers who will be on standby to ensure our customers celebrate with lights. In addition, sufficient machinery has been deployed as logistical support for the workers to ensure quick and effective intervention if needed. For the holidays, 135 machines and vehicles will be available, including 68 cars, 31 platforms, 16 heavy machines, 16 excavators, and 4 cable detection vehicles,” KEDS wrote in their statement.
Network Maintenance and Investment Projects
The company highlighted that all planned maintenance of the distribution network was carried out during the summer, along with the implementation of nearly 280 investment projects aimed at creating a stable network.
Regional Challenges and Improvements
KEDS acknowledged ongoing challenges in regions such as Ferizaj, Gjakova, Rahovec, Prizren, and Gjilan, caused by network overloads. However, in Malisheva, the company noted significant improvements due to the implementation of a high-capacity super-conductor, which has doubled capacity and improved the situation compared to previous years.
Appeal for Energy Conservation
KEDS urged consumers to conserve electricity wherever possible.
“Special care should be taken with heating that uses electricity. We encourage consumers to use alternative heating methods if available. Every effort to save energy contributes to reducing the load and improving the situation for everyone,” the statement added.
