The Kosovo Electricity Distribution Company (KEDS) has informed consumers in Viti and the surrounding villages that this afternoon’s strong winds have caused damage to the power distribution network, leaving several areas without electricity supply, reports RKS News.
“As a result of the strong winds that affected several regions of our country this afternoon, damage has occurred to the power distribution network,” KEDS said in its announcement.
The damage has affected several electric poles and power lines. In Viti, four additional steel-structure poles have been damaged, causing a power outage for a certain number of consumers in that area and in the surrounding villages.

As a result of the strong winds that affected several regions of our country this afternoon, damage has occurred to the power distribution network.
In this case, several electric poles and power lines have been damaged. Four more steel-structured poles have been damaged in Viti, leaving a number of our consumers there and in the surrounding villages without electricity supply.
KEDS informs affected consumers in this region that, although repairing these steel poles takes time, additional teams have been engaged with the aim of restoring the power supply as soon as possible.
