Preventive shutdown aims to avoid larger damage and ensure timely repairs.
The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has announced the temporary shutdown of Unit A4 of the Kosova A Thermal Power Plant following a signal indicating possible defects in the cooling tower fans.
The shutdown is a precautionary measure aimed at preventing more serious damage and allowing for the early treatment of the issue.
“Our business partners were notified in time, and the unit was not scheduled for production tomorrow,” KEK stated.
Technical teams at Kosova A are on full standby and will take all necessary steps to identify and repair the malfunction as soon as technical conditions allow.
“Our goal remains to return the unit to operation as quickly as possible,” the statement concluded.
