The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has announced that July 30 will be the final day it provides electricity to consumers who have not yet secured a supplier in the open market.

Last Resort Supplier Mandate Ending

In accordance with a decision from the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO), the Electricity Law, and the Rule for the Supplier of Last Resort (SLR), KEK began supplying these consumers as an SLR on June 1, 2025. This temporary supply, intended to provide sufficient time for consumers to find a long-term supplier licensed by ERO, is set to conclude after a maximum period of 60 days, ending on July 30, 2025.

Urgent Call to Action for Consumers

KEK issued a warning, stating that after July 30, 2025, all consumers who have not entered into an agreement with a licensed supplier will automatically be left without electricity supply from the SLR, as their legal right to this supply expires.

KEK strongly encouraged these consumers to promptly contact an ERO-licensed supplier and sign a commercial agreement for electricity supply to ensure uninterrupted service after July 30, 2025.

A list of licensed suppliers can be found on ERO’s official website: www.ero-ks.org.
