The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has issued a warning to all consumers who have not signed a contract with a licensed electricity supplier regulated by the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE): they will be disconnected from the electricity supply starting July 30, 2025.
This is due to the fact that KEK will no longer hold the authority to act as the Supplier of Last Resort (FMF) after this date.
“After July 30, if you have not signed a supply contract with a licensed supplier, you will automatically be left without electricity, as KEK will no longer have the authority to supply in the capacity of FMF,” the corporation stated.
Important Information for Consumers
KEK began providing temporary supply as the Supplier of Last Resort (FMF) on June 1, 2025, for a 60-day period, which ends on July 30, 2025.
What Should Consumers Do?
Immediately contact a supplier licensed by ZRRE
Sign a long-term electricity supply contract
Ensure your continuous access to electricity beyond July 30, 2025
The list of licensed electricity suppliers can be found on the official website of the Energy Regulatory Office:
