Swiss Confederation President Karin Keller-Sutter affirmed today that Switzerland remains committed to contributing to the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
In a joint press conference following her meeting with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, Keller-Sutter emphasized that the Western Balkans and its developments were among the central topics of discussion.
“A lasting peace in the region and a European perspective for the Western Balkans are high priorities for Switzerland. Our engagement aims to uphold European standards and contribute to the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia,” she stated.
Keller-Sutter reiterated Switzerland’s ongoing support for Kosovo on its European path and highlighted Switzerland’s long-standing role in peacekeeping efforts:
“Switzerland will continue to support Kosovo on its journey. We also discussed the importance of the KFOR peacekeeping mission, in which Switzerland has participated since 1999.”
