Kosovo Force (KFOR) has announced that U.S. aviation soldiers from Regional Command East, part of the NATO-led mission, conducted a joint exercise with members of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX).
According to KFOR, the training included hoist extraction operations, casualty transport, and hot-loading procedures using a Black Hawk helicopter, enhancing familiarity with aviation medical procedures and strengthening coordination among personnel.
“Such activities are essential for improving interoperability and readiness, contributing to our mission to ensure a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo,” KFOR stated.
Furthermore, KFOR reaffirmed its continued implementation of its mandate, based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all citizens of Kosovo and to guarantee freedom of movement at all times and in an impartial manner.
KFOR works closely with the Kosovo Police and EULEX to provide coordinated support in their respective roles as security responders.
