NATO’s mission in Kosovo, KFOR, has announced the completion of a 24-hour operation, stating that a Croatian platoon conducted patrol and observation activities along the border with Serbia.
“The 24-hour operation carried out by the Kinetic Battalion of the Regional Command in the West of the NATO-led mission, KFOR, has concluded. A Croatian platoon carried out a series of patrol and observation activities along the administrative boundary line (ABL),” KFOR said in a statement on Facebook.
KFOR reiterated that it continues to fulfill its mandate—based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 from 1999—”to contribute to a safe environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and to ensure freedom of movement at all times and in an impartial manner.”
KFOR is the third security responder, following the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission (EULEX), with which it states it works in close coordination.
