The Italian Carabinieri contingent within KFOR recently participated in an intensive helicopter training exercise. Conducted under a realistic operational scenario, the exercise aimed to reinforce tactical readiness and strengthen interoperability among KFOR units operating in complex security environments.
KFOR stated that it “continues to implement its mandate—based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999—to contribute to a peaceful and safe environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times.”
The announcement also highlighted that KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
