KFOR Commander Major General Ozkan Ulutash convened a meeting with diplomatic representatives at the KFOR headquarters in Camp Film City, Prishtina.
The meeting included ambassadors from Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom, the Deputy Head of the French Mission in Kosovo, a US embassy representative from QUINT, the EU Special Representative, and the Deputy Head of the Turkish Mission, according to a KFOR statement.
“The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for the Commander to present the security situation in the region, emphasizing KFOR’s commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all people in Kosovo. In this context, General Ulutash acknowledged the long-term contributions of all participating nations in the NATO-led mission,” the statement read.
KFOR reaffirmed that it continues to implement its mandate under UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999) to contribute to a secure environment for all residents of Kosovo and to guarantee freedom of movement impartially and at all times.
KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission (EULEX), each fulfilling their respective roles and responsibilities in ensuring security.
