KFOR Mission Commander, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, hosted Canadian Ambassador to Croatia and Kosovo, Jessica Blitt, during a meeting at KFOR Headquarters in Camp “Film City”, Prishtina.
According to KFOR’s announcement, the meeting provided an important opportunity for the commander to present the current security situation in the region, emphasizing the mission’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all citizens in Kosovo.
During the discussion, General Ulutaş expressed appreciation for Canada’s contribution to the NATO-led mission.
“KFOR continues to implement its mandate — based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999) — to contribute to a safe and secure environment for everyone living in Kosovo and to ensure freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission (EULEX), within their respective security-response roles,” the mission stated.
