KFOR Commander Major General Enrico Barduani met with Croatian State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Andreja Metelko-Zgombić, to discuss recent security developments in the region and Croatia’s ongoing contribution to the NATO-led peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.
According to the official statement, the meeting served as an important platform for General Barduani to share his analysis and vision regarding the current security landscape, reaffirming KFOR’s commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
“The meeting offered a valuable opportunity for the KFOR Commander to outline his vision of the current security situation and emphasize KFOR’s continued efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment for all citizens living in Kosovo,” the statement read.
During the discussion, General Barduani expressed gratitude to Croatia for its longstanding support of KFOR, recognizing Zagreb’s active role in promoting stability across the Western Balkans.
He also thanked Secretary Metelko-Zgombić for Croatia’s military and diplomatic engagement in Kosovo since 2009, highlighting the importance of Croatia’s presence in the multinational force.
