The Commander of NATO-led KFOR, Özkan Ulutaş, held a meeting with the Grand Mufti of Kosovo, Naim Tërnava, head of the Islamic Community of Kosovo.
According to a KFOR statement, the meeting provided “an opportunity for a productive exchange of views on social and religious issues in Kosovo.”
KFOR reiterated that it continues to implement its mandate — based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999) — contributing to a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo and ensuring freedom of movement, at all times and in an impartial manner.
KFOR also underlined its close coordination with the Kosovo Police and EULEX, within their respective roles as security responders.
