KFOR Commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, paid an official visit to the Ministry of Defense in Tirana, where he was received by Minister Pirro Vengu and Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji.
According to KFOR’s statement, the meeting discussed the continued commitment of the peacekeeping mission to maintain security and stability in Kosovo and the region, as well as the importance of the EU-facilitated dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
General Barduani emphasized that KFOR remains determined to guarantee a safe and calm environment for all communities.
“He appreciated the professionalism and dedication of the Albanian contingent in KFOR, highlighting their valuable contribution to peace and stability in the Western Balkans,” the statement said.
Barduani also reiterated the importance of sustained cooperation and partnership between KFOR and Albania.
