The Commander of NATO-led KFOR, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, on Friday hosted ambassadors, heads of missions, and senior national representatives from 33 troop-contributing countries at KFOR Headquarters in Camp Film City, Prishtina.

Marking his first collective engagement with troop-contributing nations since assuming command, Major General Ulutaş briefed participants on the current security situation in Kosovo, ongoing KFOR activities, and key priorities for the period ahead.

He reaffirmed KFOR’s commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo, emphasizing the importance of continued coordination and close cooperation with international partners. Ulutaş also expressed his sincere appreciation to all contributing nations for their sustained support and commitment.

“KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999), in order to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo and to guarantee freedom of movement at all times and in an impartial manner,” KFOR stated.

The mission further underlined that KFOR operates in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), each acting within their respective roles as security responders.
