KFOR Commander, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, met with Mark Fleming, Director of the Office for Central and Western European Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, to discuss the current security situation in Kosovo and the Kosovo–Serbia dialogue process.
According to KFOR’s official statement, Fleming was accompanied by Anu Prattipati, the U.S. Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires in Kosovo.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on maintaining stability and security across Kosovo amid ongoing regional challenges.
“In this context, General Ulutaş reiterated KFOR’s continued commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo and expressed appreciation for the United States’ longstanding contributions to KFOR’s mission and to regional stability,” the statement said.
The meeting comes as international attention remains focused on Kosovo’s security dynamics and the progress of the dialogue with Serbia, a process that continues to be central to regional peace and cooperation.
