KFOR Commander Meets with Representatives of Troop-Contributing Countries in Kosovo

The KFOR mission commander, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, met with ambassadors, heads of missions, and senior national representatives from 33 troop-contributing countries at KFOR headquarters in the “Film City” camp in Prishtina, reports IndeksOnline.

During the collective meeting, General Ulutaş provided an overview of the current security situation in Kosovo, ongoing KFOR activities, and key priorities for the future. He reaffirmed KFOR’s commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all residents of Kosovo, highlighted the importance of continuous coordination and cooperation with international partners, and expressed sincere appreciation for the ongoing support from all troop-contributing countries.

According to the official KFOR statement, the mission continues to implement its mandate under United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999), ensuring a safe environment and freedom of movement for all people in Kosovo, impartially and at all times.

KFOR operates in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), each fulfilling their respective roles as security responders.
