Post:
Today, the commander of the NATO-led #KFOR mission, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, met with a Latvian patrol unit on duty at Lake Ujman/Gazivoda.
KFOR is closely monitoring all security developments and maintains a nimble and flexible posture throughout Kosovo, in accordance with its UN mandate.
Major General Ulutaş expressed his gratitude to the Latvian soldiers for their ongoing contribution to KFOR’s efforts.
KFOR continues to fulfill its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 – to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and to ensure freedom of movement at all times and impartially. KFOR is the third security responder, after the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission (EULEX), with whom we work in close coordination.
