Troops of KFOR, operating under the Regional Command West (RC-W), have carried out a series of demanding mountain marches across rugged terrain in Kosovo, reaching elevated positions overlooking Camp Villaggio Italia near Peja.

According to the official statement, the exercises are aimed at enhancing interoperability and operational readiness, ensuring that units remain prepared to respond at any moment when required. Through such activities, KFOR personnel maintain a high level of situational awareness in the field.

“KFOR continues to implement its mandate derived from UN Security Council Resolution 1244, with the objective of guaranteeing a safe and secure environment for all citizens and freedom of movement throughout the territory,” the statement said.

In carrying out its mission, KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and EULEX, in line with their respective roles as security responders.
