NATO’s mission in Kosovo, KFOR, conducted one of its most significant training exercises today, led by Italian troops.
In a Facebook post, KFOR announced that the exercise was of the “Crowd and Riot Control” type, simulating possible riot scenarios to prepare troops for effective intervention in such situations.
“The key element of such an exercise is realism—to ensure we are ready to respond in the most effective way to any situation,” the statement reads.
According to KFOR, the aim of the exercise is to strengthen preparedness, coordination, and the proper operational approach in the event of tensions on the ground.
“Preparation, coordination, procedures, the right mindset, and drills are the foundation of anti-riot activities,” the announcement continued.
KFOR emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation in maintaining stability and security in the region.
