On November 1, Kosovo Serb citizen Miloš Vukašinović was injured and kidnapped by members of the Serbian Gendarmerie near the so-called “zero point” close to Leposaviq — a location within the sovereign territory of the Republic of Kosovo.

However, this was not the only recent incident involving armed Serbian forces crossing into Kosovo.

Armed Serbian units were reportedly spotted inside Kosovo territory, specifically in the village of Metergoc in Podujeva, a border zone between Kosovo and Serbia.

This was officially confirmed to Klan Kosova by NATO’s peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, KFOR.

According to KFOR, the Serbian gendarmes turned back immediately after realizing they had crossed into Kosovo.

“We are aware of this incident on October 15. We were in contact with the Serbian Armed Forces. Based on their information, members of the Serbian Gendarmerie were pursuing individuals allegedly involved in illegal logging,” KFOR stated.
