The Kosovo Force (KFOR) extended its congratulations to Montenegro on the occasion of its National Day. KFOR’s official Facebook page featured a message from NATO stating, “Happy National Day to our Montenegrin allies. Montenegro is one of 33 countries contributing troops to the KFOR mission.”
Montenegro has been part of the KFOR mission since its accession to NATO, with its forces dedicated to maintaining peace and security in Kosovo. KFOR, a NATO-led mission, is mandated to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all citizens in Kosovo. Currently, forces from 33 nations participate in the mission.
