KFOR Hands Over Renovated Training Grounds in Vrella – Cooperation with Kosovo Police Strengthened

A formal handover ceremony was held today at Camp Vrella, within the Center for Specialized Units, marking the completion of renovation works on the shooting and obstacle training ranges carried out by KFOR troops, including U.S. soldiers.

The event was attended by high-ranking representatives from the Kosovo Police and KFOR, including:

  • Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, General Director of Kosovo Police,
  • Colonel Ferrara, representative of KFOR’s General Staff,
  • Colonel Helzer, commander of U.S. KFOR troops,
  • Colonel Mentor Shabani, Director of the Department for Special Units.

Both Colonel Hoxha and Colonel Helzer praised the ongoing cooperation between Kosovo Police and KFOR, underlining the importance of joint projects in strengthening law enforcement capacities and enhancing public safety.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, plaques and acknowledgments were presented to KFOR soldiers from various contributing nations and to officials from Kosovo Police’s Special Units, as a token of gratitude for their institutional support and dedication to the renovation project.
