Today at the KFOR headquarters in “Camp Film City” in Pristina, a command handover ceremony was held for the Greek contingent of the NATO-led mission. The ceremony was led by KFOR Deputy Commander, Brigadier General Cahit Irican.

During the ceremony, General Irican thanked the outgoing personnel for their professionalism and dedication during their mission and welcomed the new members of the Greek contingent.

As a token of appreciation for their committed service, all members of the Greek contingent were awarded the NATO Non-Article 5 medal, recognizing their contribution to regional security and international cooperation.

KFOR emphasized that it continues to implement its mandate, based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, to ensure a calm and safe environment for all citizens in Kosovo, as well as freedom of movement at all times.

The KFOR mission works in close cooperation with the Kosovo Police and EULEX, acting as the authority for responses to security-related matters.
