KFOR has announced the installation of new signs along the border between Kosovo and Serbia.

According to the statement, a total of 114 signs have been placed in mountainous and forested areas to clearly mark the zone where KFOR operates and to reduce the risk of accidental crossings into the other side of the border.

“KFOR will continue its efforts to promote a safe and secure environment for all people in Kosovo, including through regular patrols in northern Kosovo and near the Administrative Boundary Line,” the statement reads.

The announcement also emphasizes that KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), within their respective responsibilities for security.
