Prishtina, July 22, 2025 — The NATO-led peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, KFOR, has announced the installation of new warning signs along the entire boundary line between Kosovo and Serbia, referred to by KFOR as the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL).

According to the official statement, the new signs aim to improve visibility and reduce the risk of accidental crossings. In addition to installing new signage, some older signs have been refurbished to ensure continued clarity and effectiveness.

“The goal is to reduce the risk of unintentional crossings,” KFOR stated, emphasizing that the signs serve as a clear warning to individuals approaching the boundary area.

KFOR further highlighted that this activity reflects its impartial commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo.

The initiative comes amid heightened security concerns in the north, with international peacekeepers reinforcing preventive measures in sensitive areas along the border region.
