The NATO-led mission, KFOR, has announced that Italian soldiers from the Regional Command West (RC-W) are conducting patrols in the municipality of Prizren.

According to a Facebook statement, these patrols are part of KFOR’s commitment to ensuring security and stability for all communities within the RC-W area of responsibility, as well as maintaining freedom of movement throughout the territory.

“These patrols help improve the safety of all communities and demonstrate KFOR’s ongoing commitment to stability and freedom of movement in the region,” the post reads.

KFOR emphasizes that it continues to implement its mandate—based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244—to provide a safe and secure environment for all people in Kosovo and to ensure freedom of movement, at all times and impartially.

Additionally, KFOR closely cooperates with the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission (EULEX) to guarantee security on the ground.
