Latvian soldiers serving in the NATO-led KFOR mission in Kosovo have undergone training exercises focused on crowd riot control.

The training took place successfully at the shooting range in Kçiq.

In an official statement, KFOR emphasized that the training enhances operational readiness and ensures soldiers are prepared to execute any mission effectively.

Commitment to a Secure Environment

KFOR highlighted that such efforts are integral to its daily mission of maintaining a secure and peaceful environment for all communities living in Kosovo.

“KFOR continues to implement its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 from 1999 – to contribute to a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all people and communities living in Kosovo, at all times and in an impartial manner. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective security roles,” the statement said.
