KFOR has announced that German infantry troops, in cooperation with US aviation and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) units from KFOR’s Regional Command-East, conducted a joint helicopter patrol exercise in southern Kosovo.
According to KFOR’s statement, UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters were used to deploy troops in support of an independent patrol mission, improving rapid air mobility, disembarkation procedures, and coordination between infantry, aviation, and EOD teams.
The training exercise aimed to enhance operational readiness and interoperability between German and US contingents under KFOR’s multinational command structure.
“Through such joint activities, KFOR continues to maintain cohesion and effectiveness among multinational forces, contributing to a safe and secure environment for all people across Kosovo,” the mission’s statement read.
