The only road connection between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain has reopened after being temporarily closed for security reasons amid Iranian airstrikes.

Authorities had suspended traffic on the King Fahd Causeway as a precaution, citing concerns over potential debris from attacks on energy facilities in the area.

Approximately five hours later, officials confirmed via social media that the bridge had reopened and vehicle movement had returned to normal, TCH reports.

The King Fahd Causeway is a strategic 25-kilometer corridor consisting of a series of bridges linking the two Gulf countries and serves as the main transportation artery between them.
