Zenun Berisha, a veteran of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), has passed away, reports Gazeta Sinjali.
The final farewell will take place today at 14:00 at the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Grabanica.
Zenun was born on September 8, 1968, and grew up in difficult conditions, but with a big heart, a strong spirit, and deep love for his family and his homeland.
He completed his primary education at Emin Duraku School in Sferkë and continued his secondary studies at Luigj Gurakuqi Gymnasium in Klinë.
He was known as a hardworking, honest man—always with a smile on his face and kind words for everyone. When the time came for the homeland to call upon its sons, Zenun took up arms and joined the ranks of the Kosovo Liberation Army, fighting bravely alongside his fellow villagers and comrades in the struggle for freedom.
He firmly believed that freedom is earned through blood, love for the land, and sacrifice for the future generations.
After the war, Zenun continued his life devoted to his family, leaving behind the memory of a righteous, generous, and kind-hearted man.
He passed away on October 24, 2025, in Bologna, Italy.
