The Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, reacted harshly towards the deputies of the Serbian List during a parliamentary session, accusing them of provocation and misusing the Assembly. Konjufca stated that they only return to the Assembly to collect their salaries, while continuing to support the attacks in the north and working against the state of Kosovo.
“You are serving your criminal boss, Radoičić, shame on you!” Konjufca said, referring to one of the leaders of the Serbian List, who is allegedly linked to armed groups in northern Kosovo.
Due to the tensions, Konjufca interrupted the session and demanded that the deputies of the Serbian List leave the room, calling their behavior unacceptable and provocative. He described their actions as a misuse of taxpayers’ money, while they continue to fight against the state of Kosovo.
“I address the deputies of the Serbian List, who come and provoke in this way. This is intolerable. You come to the Assembly of Kosovo once every six months only to misuse taxpayers’ money, while you are fighting against the Republic of Kosovo,” he added.
Tensions between the Serbian List deputies and the Assembly leadership have escalated since the return of these deputies to the Assembly after several months of boycott due to the crisis in northern Kosovo. Konjufca and deputies from the Vetëvendosje Movement have called on the Serbian List to distance itself from destabilizing actions in the north and to support Kosovo’s integration into international institutions.
This incident has sparked widespread reactions and further tensions between Kosovo’s political groups and Belgrade.
