First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Glauk Konjufca received in a meeting the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo, Hiroyasu Tanigaki.
During the meeting, Tanigaki congratulated Konjufca on assuming his new duty, and the two discussed shared interests and values that strengthen relations between Kosovo and Japan.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo, the discussion also addressed Kosovo’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, as well as opportunities to deepen economic cooperation and increase trade exchanges between the two countries.
It was also noted that the University of Pristina now offers Japanese language courses, creating a new bridge of cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting also highlighted the alignment of geopolitical positions between Kosovo and Japan, as well as their shared commitment to maintaining international peace and stability. Konjufca also conveyed his congratulations to Japan on the formation of its new government and the appointment of the new Prime Minister.
The statement emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo remains committed to further strengthening its partnership with Japan.
