The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, congratulated America on the occasion of Independence Day.
Konjufca stated that July 4th is a day to celebrate democracy and its triumph, honoring the efforts of those who, with determination and sacrifice, kept alive the liberating vision until its realization, which brought extraordinary progress within the United States and had significant effects worldwide.
“In this spirit, but in a different context, the U.S. continues to lead the alliance of democracies in preserving the ideal of freedom and equality of peoples, in the uncompromising fight against authoritarianism and occupation.
As a people and state, we are happy to belong to this democratic alliance, alongside the U.S., to defend ideals and achieve our common goals,” wrote the Speaker on Facebook.
