The Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, said that his statement given days ago about training of terrorist groups in Serbia and the risk that they could destabilize Kosovo, was not meant to scare the people but to inform the international community in a way to punish Serbia.
“Everyone knows that Serbia has territorial claims against Kosovo. She has never given up on these claims, but at the same time, Kosovo has never been more prepared to respond to security challenges”, Konjufca said to journalists after the end of the session.
“No one says these statements to scare me, or to cause any panic. The people of Kosovo are very calm, they believe in the state, and in our institutions to oppose Serbia”, said Konjufca.
Konjufca mentioned to the international community that it should punish Serbia.
“As for the fact that there are groups that aim to destabilize Kosovo, they exist, they are sheltered in Serbia. Inside Kosovo, the situation has never been under control, the groups that destabilized Kosovo have never been weaker, and they are being destroyed. Are they from Serbia, where they practice, who take weapons and find shelter, they are confirmed by our security institutions. What I shared is what Wesley Clark said after 2 days. We do not say these statements to cause fear. The international community must punish Serbia”, said Konjufca.
