On February 17, Azem Haziri, a pianist from Kosovo, held an artistic protest in the center of Munich on Kosovo’s Independence Day to commemorate the 1,432 children killed during the war in Kosovo by the Serbian state.
Haziri performed the song “Mos ua vrisni lumturinë” (“Don’t Kill Their Happiness”) while holding the book “Albanian Children in Kosovo – Victims of State Genocide by Serbia 1981–1999”. He also wore a shirt displaying a photo of Leutrim Ahmeti, a seven-year-old child killed during the conflict.
The performance attracted the attention and curiosity of passersby, serving as a solemn reminder of the innocent lives lost and the enduring impact of the war on Kosovo’s youth.
