The initiative Kosova Bojkoton has called for a boycott of all supermarkets in Kosovo on March 15 in response to rising prices.
Activists from the initiative unveiled a banner reading “March 15, Kosovo Boycotts, All Supermarkets” as part of their campaign.
Xhevat Kastrati, a member of the initiative, urged citizens to join the boycott, emphasizing the importance of consumer power in protesting price increases.
“We are a non-formal citizen group that has taken up this initiative as a response to rising prices. This boycott is a form of protest to show our purchasing power. When we unite in this boycott, we send a message to supermarkets and the government that we are deeply dissatisfied, exerting social pressure for a response,” Kastrati stated.
Similar boycott movements are taking place across the region due to widespread concerns over inflation and increasing costs of essential goods.
