The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (ASK) has published its Energy Statistics for December 2025, including data on energy production and consumption, coal usage, imports and exports, and other energy sources.
According to ASK, gross energy production from hydropower plants in December 2025 reached 27,840 MWh, marking an 88.74% increase compared to the same month in 2024.
Gross available electricity was 932.28 GWh, 3.64% higher than December 2024, while electricity consumption increased by 5.83%. The share of alternative electricity within total consumption reached 9.81%.
Electricity imports in December amounted to 435.66 GWh, while exports, including transmitted quantities, totaled 161.82 GWh.
Meanwhile, coal production fell to approximately 678,541 tons, representing a 13.40% decrease compared to December 2024.
