Kosovo’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has praised the collaborative effort between the Police of Kosovo and Albania following a successful joint operation against an arms trafficking network. The operation resulted in the seizure of 64 firearms, and over 20 individuals from both countries were arrested.

“Only by collaborating and not supporting crime, our countries will move forward towards a stable and integrated region within the European Union,” Sveçla wrote on Facebook, acknowledging the professionalism and teamwork of both police forces.

This operation is seen as a major success in combatting cross-border criminal activities, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in strengthening security and ensuring peace in the region.

The operation not only disrupted an illegal weapons trafficking group but also reinforced the commitment of Kosovo and Albania to maintaining law and order, contributing to the ongoing fight against organized crime in the Balkans.
