The head of Kosovo’s Special Prosecution Office, Blerim Isufaj, met today with Altin Dumani, the head of Albania’s Special Prosecution Against Corruption (SPAK), to sign a cooperation agreement establishing joint investigative teams.
According to a press release from the Prosecutorial System, the two chief prosecutors discussed enhancing cooperation, coordination, and efficiency in combating crime and strengthening the rule of law in both countries.
This collaboration will see joint investigative teams composed of prosecutors from both institutions working together. The agreement aims to tighten cooperation and align actions in critical areas of crime prevention that affect the economic, financial, and social interests of both nations.
Chief Prosecutor Isufaj and SPAK’s head, Dumani, emphasized the significance of this agreement, describing it as a crucial step towards improving security and the rule of law in their respective countries and building a robust partnership between the two judicial institutions.
