President Vjosa Osmani has issued a decree aligning Kosovo’s list of foreign terrorist organizations with that of the United States of America, further strengthening the country’s security cooperation with Washington.

Osmani emphasized that the move ensures Kosovo’s full alignment with U.S. foreign and security policy.

“The Republic of Kosovo harmonizes its list of foreign terrorist organizations with the Executive Orders of the President of the United States of America – EO 14157 of January 20, 2025, and EO 14175 of January 22, 2025 – with the purpose of full alignment with U.S. foreign and security policy,” the decree states.

Kosovo’s security institutions and other relevant agencies are tasked with implementing the decree, while the Secretariat of the Security Council of Kosovo will circulate copies to all members of the Council.

President Osmani underlined that Kosovo will stand firmly by the United States in the fight against transnational organized crime, terrorism, drug cartels, and criminal regimes.

“History proves a simple truth: when America leads, there is more peace, more security, and more freedom across the world. Kosovo will always stand alongside the United States to advance this vision and to fight all those who threaten the national security of our most important ally,” Osmani declared.
