Kosovo and Lithuania Sign Agreement to Prevent Illegal Immigration in New York

Kosovo and Lithuania have established a strong partnership, focusing particularly on strengthening cooperation in key areas such as security, the economy, and Euro-Atlantic integration.

This was stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora (MFAD) through a press release.

It was reported that on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Minister Donika Gërvalla met with her Lithuanian counterpart, Gabrielius Landsbergis, with whom she signed an agreement aimed at preventing illegal immigration by facilitating the readmission of individuals who are residing without authorization in their respective countries.

During the meeting, “Gërvalla expressed her gratitude for Lithuania’s unwavering support for Kosovo in strengthening its international subjectivity and its Euro-Atlantic membership aspirations.”
