Kosovo and Luxembourg Sign Memorandum of Understanding — Tens of Millions in Financial Support Secured

Kosovo and Luxembourg have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding today, strengthening bilateral ties and paving the way for increased financial support.

The agreement was signed by Kosovo’s Acting First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue, Besnik Bislimi, and Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, during the 10th bilateral meeting between the two countries.

Under the new agreement, Luxembourg will provide €50 million in financial assistance to Kosovo for the period 2026–2030, a significant increase from the previous commitment of €35 million.

The memorandum outlines key priority areas for cooperation, including:

Skills development for sustainable employment

Healthcare sector improvements

Inclusive and sustainable economic growth

Empowerment of civil society in Kosovo

This renewed partnership reflects Luxembourg’s continued commitment to Kosovo’s development and integration into European structures.
